Preparing for Your Visit

What to Bring

Having these with you helps your GP provide the most appropriate care for your child.

  • Your child's Blue Book (Personal Health Record) — especially for babies and young children
  • Medicare card — and any concession or Health Care Card
  • Any previous test results or specialist letters relating to your child's health
  • A list of any medications your child is taking, including doses
  • Details of known allergies or previous reactions
  • Any questions you have written down beforehand

Bringing more than one child? Please let our reception team know when booking. For multiple children or more complex concerns, separate appointments are recommended to ensure adequate time for each child.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — your baby’s first scheduled vaccinations occur at 6 weeks. We recommend booking a long appointment so your GP can complete a full developmental review alongside the vaccination and answer any questions you have.

Please bring your child’s Blue Book (Personal Health Record) and Medicare card. Any notes, previous test results, specialist letters, or questions you have are also helpful. For babies and young children, a list of any medications and known allergies is useful to have on hand.

Yes, but please let us know when booking. For multiple children or more complex concerns, we recommend booking separate appointments to allow adequate time for each child’s care.

Our GPs can assist with initial screening and referrals to appropriate specialists for further evaluation if required. A formal autism or ADHD diagnosis involves a multidisciplinary assessment that is completed by specialists. Your GP is the starting point for this process.

Children aged 12 and under are bulk billed on weekday appointments. On Saturdays, only children aged 5 and under are bulk billed. Standard consultation fees apply for other patients. See our Fees page for full details.

Yes. Adolescent patients aged 12 and over are entitled to confidential consultations for health matters they wish to discuss privately. Our GPs handle sensitive topics such as mental health, puberty, and sexual health with care and without judgment. If you have concerns about your teenager’s health, our team can advise on the best approach.

For non-urgent concerns — fever, cough, ear pain, rash, vomiting — a GP appointment is appropriate. Call the clinic to discuss if you are unsure, and our team can advise. For serious symptoms such as difficulty breathing, persistent high fever, seizures, severe pain, signs of dehydration, or unusual drowsiness, attend the nearest emergency department or call 000.

Yes. Our GPs manage asthma in children including diagnosis, inhaler technique guidance, asthma action plans, and ongoing review. If your child has been diagnosed with asthma or has recurring wheeze, please book an appointment to discuss their management plan.
