Supporting Men's Health at Every Life Stage

Shire Family Medical offers confidential, evidence-based care for men at every age. From routine check-ups to early detection and health management, our GPs provide care that reflects each stage of life.

Many health concerns can be identified earlier and managed more effectively with regular check-ups. We encourage men to attend regular health reviews, ask questions, and stay informed about the specific risks and needs that may arise over time.

What We Offer

Our GPs provide a respectful, practical approach with a focus on prevention and ongoing health management.

Frequently Asked Questions

This depends on your individual risk factors. Your GP can guide you based on your age, family history, and symptoms. Routine discussions often begin around age 50 — or earlier if there’s a family history of prostate cancer.

This will vary by age and health history, but may include blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol testing, blood glucose levels, prostate health checks, skin checks, and bowel cancer screening from age 50.

Yes. Skin checks can be done during a standard appointment or booked as a dedicated skin assessment. We also offer cryotherapy and minor procedures if required.
