About the Clinic

Private Consultations for Aesthetic or Sweating Concerns

At Shire Family Medical, we offer private consultations with Dr Katrina Mikhail for patients seeking medical advice about facial aesthetic concerns or excessive sweating.

These consultations are focused on careful assessment, suitability, and informed decision-making. Dr Mikhail will take the time to understand your concerns, review your relevant medical history, and discuss appropriate management options based on your individual needs.

Not every treatment is suitable for every person. In some cases, you may be advised that no procedure is recommended, or that another medical approach is more appropriate.

Services

What We Can Help Assess

Dr Katrina Mikhail offers private consultations for two areas of practice:

Facial Aesthetic Concerns

A private medical consultation to discuss your facial aesthetic concerns and explore whether treatment may be appropriate for your individual circumstances.

  • Individual assessment of your concerns and goals
  • Review of medical history and current medications
  • Discussion of suitability and clinical appropriateness
  • Explanation of potential options, risks, benefits, and alternatives
  • Aftercare and follow-up planning where relevant

Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

Hyperhidrosis — excessive sweating beyond what is needed for normal body temperature regulation — can significantly affect quality of life. Dr Mikhail can assess whether medical management may be appropriate.

  • Assessment for underarm (axillary) sweating
  • Assessment for forehead sweating
  • Review of medical history and contributing factors
  • Discussion of management options and suitability
  • Explanation of likely outcomes and follow-up requirements

Your Appointment

What to Expect at Your Consultation

Your appointment is a private, one-on-one medical consultation. No procedure is performed at an initial consultation without prior discussion and your informed consent.

1

Discussion of Your Concerns & Goals

Dr Mikhail will listen to your concerns, understand what you are hoping to achieve, and ask questions relevant to your situation and medical history.

2

Medical History & Medication Review

A review of your current health, relevant medical conditions, and medications to assess whether treatment is medically appropriate for you.

3

Assessment of Suitability

Not every patient is suitable for every treatment. Dr Mikhail will give you an honest assessment of whether a procedure is appropriate in your individual case.

4

Discussion of Options, Risks & Alternatives

If treatment is considered appropriate, Dr Mikhail will explain the potential options, risks, benefits, limitations, and alternatives — so you can make an informed decision.

5

Follow-up & Aftercare Planning

Where relevant, Dr Mikhail will discuss expected follow-up appointments and aftercare so you know what to expect before, during, and after any treatment.
