About Dr Soney Jacob

Dr Soney Jacob has over 20 years’ experience as a specialist general practitioner across three continents. He is qualified in surgery through the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and holds Fellowship in general practice with both the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Having attained a GP fellowship in skin cancer surgery, Dr Jacob has a clinical focus on skin cancer checks and procedures. His clinic focus areas include family medicine with a whole-person approach, fibromyalgia, men’s health, joint and soft tissue injections and preventative care.

New patients welcome. Dr Jacob is currently accepting new patients.

GP Supervisor & Medical Educator

Dr Jacob is a qualified GP supervisor and contributes to the training of GP registrars and medical students. His involvement in medical education reflects his commitment to the quality and continuity of general practice in the Sutherland Shire community.

Supervision accreditation. GP supervisors are accredited by RACGP and/or ACRRM and play a key role in shaping the next generation of Australian GPs.

Interests & Community

Outside of work, Soney enjoys spending time with his family and loves to play badminton. He is also a keen follower of cricket and tennis.
